The shul's calendars
Calendars lists the calendars the boards can show: Events, Kiddush sponsorships, Seudah shlishis sponsorships, Shiurim and classes and Simchas. Add a calendar makes a calendar of the shul's own, like "Youth programs". Only owners set up calendars.
Each calendar says where its Events come from, and when it was last checked.
Where events come from
Open a calendar and choose one:
- In a Google calendar: press Make a Google calendar (and connect Google if it asks). Shulboard makes a calendar called, for example, "Events, Ohr Shalom" in the shul's Google account. Add and change events there, on a phone too, or in Shulboard; a change in one shows in the other within a few minutes.
- Here in Shulboard: press Keep the events here, then add each event on the Events page (Kiddush sponsors on the calendar's own page). Nothing to connect. See Events and flyers.
A calendar set up before with a calendar link keeps working as it is.
Shulboard checks each calendar for changes every few minutes; Check for changes does it now.
Removing a calendar
On a calendar's page, Remove calendar stops the boards showing it, and the calendar goes back to not set up. For a Google calendar Shulboard made, Also delete it from Google Calendar (ticked to start) deletes it from the shul's Google account with its events; untick it to keep it in Google. Events typed in here are deleted with the calendar. A calendar of the shul's own has Delete calendar, with the same tick.
Disconnecting Google
Disconnect Google stops Shulboard reading the shul's Google calendars. The calendars stay in Google, and the screens keep the events they have. To pick up where they left off, press Connect Google on Calendars (or on the calendar's own page) and choose the Google account they were made in. If Google stops sharing them (a password change, say), Calendars says "Google stopped sharing the shul's calendars with Shulboard", with Reconnect Google.
