Looks, colours and fonts

Change a whole board's look in one click, then customise colours, fonts, frames and photos.

Board look

Board look in the editor's toolbar changes the colours, fonts, frames and photos of the whole board at once:

LookWhat it is
DecoGreen and gold, framed
LuachRuled, small caps, navy
Front pageA newspaper masthead
Supper clubEvening, a script name
SwissWhite, one blue, no boxes
BentoRounded white tiles
RisoTwo inks on paper
CinemaDark, photos edge to edge
Gallery wallFramed and matted
QuietType on the wall, nothing else
Fine lineQuiet, with hairlines
Soft panelsQuiet, on panels a shade off the wall

The last three are under Quiet looks: plain and calm, so the shul's own photos and notices stand out, in colours to match the room.

Each is drawn as your own board in that look, so you see the real thing before you choose. Undo puts the old look back.

Customise

Customise, beside Looks, changes one part of the look at a time:

  • Colours: the look's own colour sets, by name. Every set keeps text readable on its background.
  • Fonts: font pairs, each shown in its own faces. Under them, Hebrew: the fonts' own Hebrew, or one Hebrew face for the whole board.
  • Frames: the frames that go round items like Notices and Flyers. Where the board has a matted frame, Frame finish puts every one in black, walnut, light oak, mahogany, brass, silver or bronze; an item can have its own in its Style tab, under Box.
  • Photos: As they are, Framed, Two inks, Arched, Black and white, Rounded or Matted.
  • How things change: how collages and slideshows turn from one photo to the next.

A board whose look has been changed is called Based on Deco (or whichever look). Save this look keeps it under Your looks, for every board in the shul.

One item's style

An item's Style tab lists its parts, one row each: Box, Header, the item's own parts (like Each photo) and Colours and fonts. Each says whether it follows the look or has been Changed. Open a row to change it; Back to Deco's puts it back.

Pointing at a frame, a look or a font shows it on the board until the pointer moves off. Nothing changes until you click.

A board without a look

Boards made before looks have Background and fonts in the toolbar instead, and Choose a look to move to one. The Kiddush and yahrzeit boards have looks of their own; see Kiddush days and sponsors and Yahrzeits.
